Rev. Melissa Alfaro- June 9-10, 2006 -North Fellowship Church Carollton, Tx. These young ladies were given two days of intense worship, a direct word, and one-on-one minstry. Worship was led by Corrin Duarte and Uprise Band from Houstn, TX. Kenote Speaker was Larose Lewellen, CEO of Modern Mentors Inc. of Fort Worth, TX. Her keynote address to the young ladies was one of healing and deliverance as she reminded the young girls that nothing can thwart the plan of God for their lives. Through her message "Princess to the Father" she was able to dig deep into the secret issues girls deal with on a daily basis. During the altar call, she crowned 12 girls that made the decision to recommit their lives to Christ and take their place once again as a princess to the Father. Sat. morn, Melissa Lopez, Youth Pastor from ICM of Laredo, TX, addressed the young girls in a general session entitled "Do's and Don'ts o n Dating and Relationships. Her graceful personality made this session a delight for the girls. She challenged the girls to evaluate their motives for dating and the place they are allowing God to have in their relationships. Claudia Perez, Evanglist from Turning it Around Ministries in Plainview, TX. Spoke to our younger girls on the topic of "Wounds to Scars". Sharing from her own personal testimony, she brought a message of healing and hope. She encouraged the girls, reminding them that their pain doesn't have to be an open wound that they continue to doctor with depression and anger, for God can transform that pain into a scar--a tangible reminder of how He healed their life. Finally, Kristie Vinson, cell group leader from Fellowship CHurch in Grapevine, TX, motivated our college students with her session "God and College Life." She spoke on finding purpose in your college major, having priorities, planning and having good study habits, relationships and gossip, getting plugged into a church, managing finances, and overcoming the temptation of falling into the "party scene." Her main emphasis was simple-"Girls don't forget to KEEP God in college scene!" The conf. wrapped up with a "What Not to Wear" Session, led by Lenda Tedder of Hilltop A/G in Boyd, Tx, and a Fashion Show, hosted by Emcee Melissa Lopez. Angie Hayes, Beautician of Sunshine Celebrations inParadise, TX provided two young girls with a "Princess Makeover." The conf. concluded with a banquet and a closing word from conference host, Rev. Melissa Alfaro.
